A day that recognizes teenagers, the years between childhood and adulthood, and the people who share a home, a car or a dinner table with them.

National Teenager Day falls on Sunday, March 21, 2027. That is 145 days away.
Teenagers are people between thirteen and nineteen, the stretch of years when a kid starts becoming someone with their own opinions about music, clothes and nearly everything else.
Those years move fast. A person can go from needing a ride everywhere to driving, from a first part-time job to planning what comes after school. Friendships shift. Interests appear overnight and sometimes vanish just as quickly, though some of them turn into lifelong ones.
For families, the day is mostly about noticing the teenager in the house as a person rather than a schedule. That might mean asking about the band they keep playing, or letting them pick the restaurant without negotiation. Teenagers themselves may simply prefer a slightly later start to the morning, which is a modest request as requests go.
Teachers, coaches and neighbors can mark it too. A short note saying a student's effort was seen tends to land better than a speech. Teenagers often remember who took their ideas seriously.
Some families like to pull out old photos and compare them with the present, partly for the laughs and partly to see how much has changed. The teenager may or may not agree to be in the new photo.
