A day for stickers of every kind, from the shiny ones kids trade to the ones covering laptops, water bottles and old suitcases.

National Sticker Day falls on Wednesday, January 13, 2027. That is 78 days away.
Stickers are pictures or words printed on paper, vinyl or plastic, backed with adhesive and peeled from a waxy liner sheet. They go on almost anything that will hold still: notebooks, lunchboxes, guitar cases, car bumpers, the back of a phone.
Part of their pull is that they are small and permanent at the same time. Putting one down feels like a decision. Many people keep a favorite sticker unused for years because no surface ever seems good enough, which may be the most common sticker story there is.
The variety is wide. There are puffy stickers, scratch and sniff stickers, holographic ones that shift color as you tilt them, glow in the dark stars for bedroom ceilings, and plain round dots used for labeling and sorting. Teachers press gold stars onto homework. Bands, shops and parks hand them out so people can carry a little reminder home.
Collecting is its own hobby. Some people fill albums with sticker sheets, others trade duplicates, and plenty let a laptop lid or water bottle slowly become a record of places they have been and things they like.
For anyone worried about the mess later, most sticker residue comes off glass and hard plastic with a bit of warm soapy water and patience, and a hair dryer on a low setting can soften old adhesive so the sticker lifts in one piece.
